The reason why many people dont have jobs today is the lack of skills. It's not that we are affected by the economic crisis. Think of it this way, the company's job is provide jobs for you. Not to make you rich. It is their job to make themselves rich. Even though they cut costs and fired many people, they might have invested the money they earned to other businesses. That even if they close the company, there are still living in luxury.
The purpose of this post is to educate all job hunters that, all jobs are not permanent. There is no such thing as a stable job. Even at some point you have to say good bye to a company. Old age, new better, highly skilled youth. You won't remain there forever. So if you got laid off on any reason at all. Do not hate or get mad. Its all part of what we call change. And change for yourself starts and can only be affected by yourself. If you really want to get ahead in life and not be controlled by companies or economic crisis, try to learn different skills that you can make into a business. Treat each jobs and work you get into as a school that someday, you will build your own company into.
The thing about jobs, people and having to work is that we stopped learning once we start earning. This is wrong as there is nothing permanent in this world. You will lose your job one way or another, others early others late but all will lose their jobs someday. Be prepared when that happens.
